Manouba : 11 electoral crimes referred to the prosecution
In the governorate of Manouba, 11 electoral crimes against a number of candidates in the first round of legislative elections on December 17, 2022, were referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office near the Court of First Instance, said Saturday, the president of the Independent Regional Electoral Authority (IRIE) in Manouba, Samah Medouri.
The electoral offences in question were noted in the delegations of Oued Ellil (4), Borj El Amri, Mornaguia, Tebourba, El Battan and Jedaida, according to the same source.
The violations include propaganda in schools, universities and places of worship, the breaking of electoral silence, verbal violence against campaign control agents and threats of physical violence.
During the preliminary phase of the election, 3 appeals against the election results concerning candidates in the constituencies of Mornaguia, Borj Amri and Manouba were filed, all of which were rejected by the administrative court for substantive and formal defects, according to the same source.
